Both iOS and Android are getting more and more popular and for many average mobile users it is a quite a tough decision to decide between iOS and Android. Although Apple App Store has more applications than Android market, you find so many freeware on android market. However for game lovers, Apple App Store has better games compared to Android market. But an average user would not find any problem in finding the software they want as both markets are rapidly growing.

Well phone cameras are advancing at an amazing speed. 5MP camera introduced today becomes outdated within months. Current Apple iPhone 4S has 8MP camera & video recording capability at 1080p@30fps. On the other hand android phones from other manufacturers also have similar capabilities. Apple is facing a sever competition from Sony Ericsson & Samsung who are generally famous of making great cameras. Although iPhone seems to have a slight advantage of the camera quality, it may be for a very short period as android phones are coming to the market at a rapid pace.
Affordability
Android is most of the time much cheaper than iPhone. Latest iPhone 4S currently costs around Rs.100,000 in Sri Lanka, which is beyond the reach for most Sri Lankans. On the other hand you find Androids for very cheap prices. Specially Chinese android phones are sold at very cheap prices.
Conclusion – Your Decision!
You need to consider what phone features you most want and see which phone has those features. Also it is important to have a hand on the phone and see how you feel it before you should decide on the phone. So it all depends what you expect from a mobile phone.
in simple words if you want class, novelty and use something not common get an iPhone you will stand out on the crowd. Android if you like to experiment and hack a lot.

actually,android is free.but apples are trying to earn money by selling their apps.so, android is best for us.
android phones are reasonable in prices. we get exactly what we expect for the cash we have in hands. if we want we can upgrade too to a better phone with high end specs. also android can do anything ios does and even more, to be honest… i use samsung galaxy 5. im pretty much contented with my phone. no need to waste money to buy the fame and class throuh a phone which will be in our pockets most of the time through out the day. when i get enough for what i pay, i feel like im the best along with my phone…. huh.. thax.
iOS also revelutionaized from UNIX which is open source and Android also.But Apple trying to make money and concentrate only about money other than customer needs. Apple is overhyped in society and to being posh guy/girl he/she must have a iPhone in their hand.Thats the true.iPhone overrated and overhyped.Most of benchmarks of GSMarena android jelly bean way ahead of apple iOS6.But myths of some POSH /Silly customers like to buy apple while better products like galaxy s3, droid razor, and xperia available in market @ lower price than overrated apple.expensiveness is only Uniqueness in apple.I had an iPhone 3Gs before and I recycled it and got a new xperia ray.
These days Apple is the forerunner in smart phone market. Android also alike and much popular due to its cost effectiveness (as it is free). Microsoft, Blackberry and Symbian etc are also persist but not so popular like earlier. Whats best is therefore is a time dependent consideration. These days iOS & Android are ahead of others. Who’s next? depends on effectiveness of their latest additions to the market.

How ever we can say Apple is better than Samsung.but there are lots of factors.some of them proves apple is good and the others prove,the other.but I thought samsung is good.because some things like apple does not fully works on some countries.
Apple is for stupids who like to showoff. spend money to make Americans rich. Android is open source and the phone are manufactured in ASIA. Americans does not buy Android. the reason, they do not want ASIANS to be in top. so they made the brand prestigious while having nothing comparing to Android. Most of the Android users are always knowledgeable than stupid apple users.

IOS – Great Name. User friendly. Easy to use. Expensive and very luxurious.
Android – Common to most cheap call. Can get a phone with android for very cheap.
IOS is better for it is only for apple product which has a good brand name and a good quality.
Android is there for cheap, Chinese mobile.
